New York pics, take one!

well, I've officially been informed that there is no longer 11 days until NYC, but, in fact, four. Yes, four. (thanks, kara aka captain obvious)

i think that's a hint that i should consider blogging a little more often. weird.

anyways, not much is happening with me. I finally requested that I get Sundays off at work, so I no longer have to rush here and there on Sunday afternoons, hurrah! i'm really excited about that . . .

. . . I have about a bajillion tests this week - seriously, i don't think teachers understand that tests before the Easter break is just a huge no-no. but i gues it's better than having them all after Easter - that would be horrible. . .

. . . did i mention that i'm going to New York in four days? . . .

. . . my plane leaves at 6:00 am on Saturday - for those of you who want to come and see me off (you may want to consider not getting ready, but just coming in your pj's - right Allesha? haha) and by that , i mean that i don't expect you to come, but I do get back at 12:33 on the fourteenth, which gives you plenty of time to get ready - even brush your teeth and have a breakfast sandwich at Tim Horton's! wow!

I've been informed that there is less than a month until all of those PRBI-ers and other Bible schoolers return from their year of studies. hokey dina. I'm so excited to see you all!

well, other than that, not much is going on. I should go, I have some . . . stuff . . . to do. ok, i have to study - whatever.

3 days to make a shopping list

2 days to pack

1 day to stay up all night waiting for 4:30 AM when I can jet off into the most exciting adventure of my life so far.

i guess I'd better get started!

breaks and relaxation

oh hello!

well, I'm in Saskatoon, chillin' out, maxin' and relaxin' . . . you know how it is. did some serious shopping today. maaan alive, I'm coming here to shop ALL the time now! I didn't know HALF of these shops existed! whoa baby! amazing! anyways, I DO have pictures to show, but I'm just really bad at putting them up here!

well, I saw my friend Julie today - she moved here in August and we've been friends since grade 3! It was sooo cool to see her - we just picked up right where we left off - pretty much awesome!

New York is only 23 days away! I cannot wait! I have a lot to do before I leave, seriously, I'm NOT prepared at all. I don't have toilletries, traveller's cheques, nothing! But I guess, that's the life of a procrastinator!! haha

uuuhhh - yaa . . . that's pretty much it, until I get back . . . I'll try and update then - deal? Deal!

I suppose winter has its positives, too.

I mean, it basically makes you appreciate summer even more.

about my life.

man, my life seems to be hectic right now. there is so much going on, so many things that keep coming up, so much work to be done! it seems like a lot, and i get really frustrated sometimes that i can't just sit back and cruise through life. isn't it funny that no matter how much we work at it, no matter how much we get done, there's always more to do? i was cleaning off my desk this afternoon and i finally got all the junk off of it - i was done! but no. there sat my application for PRBI, my english homework, and my grad photo ordering stuff - just little things that i keep putting off, saying that i'll do later, but, well . . . life gets in the way, i suppose. but you know what's awesome? even though every day little things come up and we are never done working, God isn't either! He's always pushing us, always cleaning up the little things (or the big things) no matter what they are. God is such an amazing provider! I love that about Him!

I've been thinking . . .

Last week in my devotions, I came across this passage :

"Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and opened her womb. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, "God has taken away my disgrace."" (Genesis 30:22-23)

That phrase - "Then God remembered Rachel . . ." really struck a chord with me. I don't know why it stuck out so much, but it was just the wording I suppose. God didn't really forget about Rachel - did he? He obviously didn't - but why would he suddenly "remember" her? Is there something lost in the translation? Or am I just not seeing the whole picture??

And this week, i was reading exodus, and the same words came up again - "And God remembered the Israelites."

There's got to be more to this than what I'm getting! Right?

Christmas Break

All in all, I'd say that this Christmas break was quite satisfactory. I got to catch up with people, relax and, well, celebrate! with good reason, too!!
