Being in Grade 12

grade 12 is a mix of emotions.

I'm reeeeeally excited for being on top - finally!! Grade 8 was like that, except then you just went down to the bottom again. Not this time, after grad, then there will be no more of this bottom of the pile stuff. Sure, I'll be a fresh(wo)man in college, but that's different. That sounds cool. College freshman. anyways, all the senior girls got shirts that boldly announce that YES we are seniors. and we have our nicknames on the back and stuff. hopefully i'll get some pictures tomorrow when we all wear them to school to intimidate grade 9's. (sorry all you high school freshmen, but it has to be done!)

I'm worried. that I won't make the most of this year. everyone I talk to says that grade 12 was the best year of their life....what if I can't look back and say, "Heck yes, grade 12 was amazing!!" then what will i do? shopping can't cure EVERYTHING. honestly.

I'm nervous. Being a senior comes with a lot of responsibility. Will I be able to handle that?? There's also a lot of homework and 30 level classes involved here. What's with that??

I'm happy. This year I feel like I could make a difference within my group of friends. I could invite them out to youth and stuff cuz I'm closer with them then I was last year. It's a good thing. All of my friends are non-Christians, but even me being there as a Christian has sparked a lot of really good conversations. Crossed fingers for this year being better in that aspect!!

I GET TO GO TO NEW YORK!! How fetch is that?? (heck yes, i said fetch. It will happen, you just wait.) I will bring back pictures and stories for all of you!! ( so generous, i know.)

I'm ready and willing to jump right in to this year. Kind of don't want to go to school tomorrow, but once I get back into the swing of things, I"m sure it'll be all right.

I should go to bed, I've been ordered to by a certain individual. (You know who you are. Look! It's not even 10 yet!! I"m such a good listener!)

peace love and all that jazz.
